University

Every year, BERNINA of America (the US branch of the Swiss sewing machine giant) hosts its national conference for its dealers and consumers — BERNINA University. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, BERNINA University (BU) 2020 was set to take place in sunny Palm Springs, CA where they would unveil their new air-powered sewing & serging machines. Playing off of Palm Springs’ famous mid-century modernist aesthetics, and the retrofuturism of the 50s & 60s, the theme became “There’s Something Fabulous In The Air”, and the art direction closely followed suit.
